Oral Statements Online Workshops

The Process Advisory Team will be holding Oral Statement Online Workshops during the community hearing process. These workshops will focus on explaining the public hearing process, what to expect at the community hearings, and tips for effective oral statements.

The dates for the online workshops sessions are below:

Details on how to access these workshops will be emailed to all participants who registered to make an oral statement and provided an email address in their registration. If you would like to attend but did not provide an email address on your oral statement registration form, please contact the Process Advisory Team by email at GatewayProcessAdvisor@ceaa-acee.gc.ca, or by toll-free telephone at 1-866-582-1884.

The Process Advisory Team will also be conducting informal information sessions in each location where oral statements will be heard. These information sessions will be held the same day or the evening before the community hearing begins in each community. Further information about these sessions will be provided in the future.

Final Hearing (Questioning Phase) Online Workshop

The Panel is announcing the third workshop in its series designed to help participants understand aspects of the joint review process. This workshop, titled "Final Hearing (Questioning Phase) Online Workshop", is for registered intervenors and government participants and will focus on how to prepare for questioning phase of the final hearings.

• Presentation - Final Hearing Workshop - Question Phase

This online workshop will be held on Monday, July 23, 2012. The workshop consists of a short presentation, followed by a question and answer period during which the Process Advisory Team will respond to your questions about the questioning phase of the final hearings. It is expected that the workshop will be no longer than one hour.

There will be two opportunities to participate in this workshop - during a daytime or an evening session. The same information will be presented at each session. The workshop will be held at the following times:

Monday, July 23, 2012
Daytime Session: 10:00 a.m. Pacific Daylight Time (11:00 a.m. Mountain Daylight Time)
Evening Session: 7:00 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time (8:00 p.m. Mountain Daylight Time)

Mini-Workshops - Final Hearings

Further to workshops held on 23 and 24 July 2012 which provided an overview of the Final Hearing process, the Panel is announcing a series of mini-workshops designed to further help participants understand various aspects of final hearing process.

• Mini-workshop #1: Questioning
• Mini-workshop #2: Affidavits, Exhibit Numbers, Undertakings
• Mini-workshop #3: Schedule
• Mini-workshop #4: Remote Participation

These mini workshops are for registered intervenors and government participants, and will focus on answering questions on various topics. The Process Advisory Team will present a few key points and/or tips on a particular theme, and remainder of the workshop will be set aside as a question and answer period. It is expected that each mini-workshop will be approximately one hour.
