Oral Statement

An oral statement allows you to provide the Panel with your knowledge, views or concerns on the proposed Enbridge Northern Gateway Project in person during the community hearings.

Your oral statement should describe the nature of your interest in the application and provide any relevant information that explains or supports your statement. Panel members will listen to and consider all oral statements given throughout the joint review process.

As guidance, the Panel does not expect oral statements to be longer than 10 minutes.

Registration has closed. The deadline for registering to make an oral statement was 6 October 2011.

Oral statements will be transcribed and the transcripts will become public documents. Following the community hearings the transcripts will be available on this website in the Public Registry.

Scheduling Your Oral Statement

The deadline to schedule oral statements for Victoria, Vancouver and Kelowna was 30 September 2012. The online scheduling tool has now closed. If you did not schedule your presentation, your name has been removed from the list of registered participants.

On 28 February 2012, the Panel issued Procedural Direction #5 [Filing A39584], which provides important information for participants registered to make oral statements.
